Here is the video of the Free Runner training video I filmed when it was a little warmer outside. Tatally forgot to add to my my blog, but its a nice little film showing off the crisp colourful picture of the Panasonic Lumix GH2 SLR, my main filming camera these days…..
Just spent the day with the famous “Sammy the Stag” making a little music video for his Mansfield Town FC song, all in the aid of Charity. I wont give the game away too much, just to say that we did visit some local landmarks and even ended up down in the Market at one point!
A walking Stag in a bright yellow football strip does tend to gather a lot of interest and my little one couldn’t keep her hands off him all day!!!!!
I’ll post the video up on here when its done and I am thinking it may well be a YouTube hit! I am sure Sammy would give paw print autographs next time he’s out and about
I am devastated. After a great day at the college I arrived home to some news that broke my heart into a thousand pieces. She was my rock. She was the one I came home to every night. Life will never be the same again. My 50″ Plasma has died.
Did some major work on new www.greenwoodvideo.co.uk website late last night trying to get a functional custom package page up and working, so customers can build their very own bespoke wedding video package, and it tells them exactly how much it costs as they build! It’s been a lot of work but it’s looking and working fantastic.
Have to think about preparing some cameras and lights for tomorrow. I am helping out as a guest speaker at the local drama college, teaching how a professional TV shoot may work compared to stage acting. I think they are going to get a surprise at the difference of TV and Stage work and it should prove a great help preparing them for any television work that come their way in the future.
I’d better getting back to the show edit. i am on last 9 acts now, should get the show finished over the weekend!
Janet has been to work all day today I have been looking after my little girl. I thought I would try and make a little music video with her.
Now when Gabby was younger she loved to be on video. Couldn’t get her off it! But these days its more of a uphill struggle to get her on video, and today was no exception.
One of the ways to get her to do my bidding is the age old Bribery Trick. Seems to work every time. I would say “Do a few shots and you can have a lovely bar of chocolate !” and when she started waining it was “Hmmm, looks like a tiny chocolate bar instead of a big one!” then she livened up again.
Of course there was the huffs from her, and tantrums and sitting on a bench for 5 minutes with her bottom lip out looking in the opposite direction, and eventually she even started to resist the bribes. But I did take a shot or two of these too and happily included them in the finished video short.
Remember this little one is only 5 and not really very enthusiastic, so don’t expect an Oscar performance… or any performance really.

Well I’m pretty devastated by this, someone has actually been in my PayPal account and stole some money from it! Was it my oqn fault you may be asking? I am not silly enough to fall for any fake emails, I don’t download attachments even from people I know, and I look after my password and don’t store them even on my computer.
Yet someone still got into my account and send three lots of money. Of course I contacted PayPal about it whom are investigating. I changed password immediately and added another security feature where I get a text message with a number to input when accessing my account. Guess what, today I got a text message asking me to input the security number to open my account and I wasn’t even on it! He cracked the new password as easily as the first!
Very scary. Luckily without the security number from the text (which just comes to my phone) he couldn’t get in again. So now I am wondering if it’s worth having the paypal account after all….?
Hope Britain’s Got Talent has better acts tonight than the crap that was on last night! (Except the guy who won it, he was really, really – like really good)!
The acts were so bad that the judges actually left the desk at once point in embarrassment! I was embarrassed for them and I’m surprised Simon Cowell didn’t start threatening to start sack some of the judges for putting them in the semi-finals. And then he brought back the really good dancer they were gonna through out!
Shows going down the pan and they need to bring it back, quick!
Hi all
Been one of those days today. It’s a day my partner is away working so I’m left at home holding the baby, sort of thing….

What I mean by that is that I am looking after our daughter while Jan is at work, since there is no school this week. Luckily still got 10 days to go before the first dance show so plenty of time to get the wedding finished, but still need to get cracking on it. However can’t do nothing when I have a 5 year old to look after, as she is always coming into the studio to see what I’m doing….
So I decided to spend some quality time with her, so we set off to the cinema to see Kung-Fu Panda 2! Soon as we got there I realised there was a couple of problems. The main problem is that I had forgot her bag holding all the 3D glasses. Also my premier card was in there to get points for the visit, so was quite a disaster.
Anyway was still going to go in when I saw the queue. It was so long it actually come out of the building and they were queuing in the car-park to get in! Now i know how we Brits love to Queue and all that, but I wasn’t really prepared to take 15 minutes or so to get in, have crap seats in some dark corner of the theatre cramped in amonst so many sweaty and probably smelly bodies for 2 hours! And because I had forgot the bag, pay a lot extra for the privilege! So the film was a no go.
Never mind, I told the sobbing Gabby, we can go somewhere else. her little face brightened up slightly and with a sniff she murmured “Can we go to Mangos?”
Of course we can, I bellowed with glee and her smile was back. So we set off, drove the couple of miles or so through town, and pulled up in the car-park. Once unloaded I noticed her feet. “Err, where’s you socks?” I enquired.
“I couldn’t find them,” she bleated, her bottom lip quivering slightly (I was a chilly morning).
“They’ll not let you in without your socks.”
Her face darkened, her little hands on hips and she did what her mums always seems to do these days…. she gave me the Glare!
So, the quality time didn’t go quite as I planned. So when we got home, I allowed her to play on my World of Warcraft for a while, where she had to read the quests and do the tasks and she actually had a good time on their. Now, to get my computer back…..
As for work, finally got to editing at 4pm, and still at it….
Isn’t Britains Got Talent good this year! There is so many great acts out there waiting to be discovered that shows like this will never die. I much rather be surrounded by talented people than those shows that deal with nastiness and the grime of society, look what happened to Big Brother it might still be here if they filled the house with half decent people.
Just my two cents worth!
Just finished the 1st edit of the latest wedding trailer. Have a look and tell me what you think of it. Its very dramatic, but shows how colourful the wedding was!
Wedding Coming Soon Trailer for the wedding on the 21 May 2011 from GreenwoodVideo on Vimeo.
